Cough & Cold Care
For a cold, a heavy head and a chesty cough
10% off when bought together.
In Ayurveda a cold is Kapha clogging the head and chest. This set clears it two ways: Coldrina's warming kitchen herbs, as capsules to carry and a syrup for home, and Kufnil to loosen phlegm and settle the cough.
In this combo
- Coldrina Capsule (100 Cap) — Cold herbs on the go. Tulsi, dry ginger, black pepper, turmeric and amla, with Godanti bhasma for the heavy head and feverish feeling of a cold, in a sugar-free capsule to take to work or school.
- Coldrina Syrup (100 mL) — The same formula at home. The Coldrina formula as a syrup, for anyone who would rather sip than swallow a capsule: warming herbs that decongest the head and chest, and amla's antioxidant tannins.
- Kufnil Syrup (100 mL) — Loosens and clears phlegm. Vasaka, whose alkaloid vasicine inspired the drugs bromhexine and ambroxol, works with Bibhitaki and classical salts to thin sticky phlegm, while Mulethi and Banafsha soothe an irritated throat.
Cautions
Kufnil contains Somlata (ephedra), which can raise heart rate and blood pressure: ask a doctor first if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disease or glaucoma, and don't take it with an MAOI antidepressant. Coldrina syrup contains sugar. A cold that lasts more than 10 days, a high fever, breathlessness, chest pain or a cough with blood needs a doctor.
