Dev Garlic Capsule by Devendra Ayurved Ashram

100 Cap: ₹140

Dev Garlic is a single-herb capsule of 500 mg Lahsun (garlic). Ayurveda calls garlic Rasona — 'lacking only one taste' — and prizes it as a warming Vata-balancing herb that kindles digestion and moves wind (Vatanulomana).

The pack lists it for Vata disorders, wind in the belly (Udara-vata) and flatulence.

Used for

  • Wind & bloating (Udara-vata)
  • Flatulence (Adhmana)
  • Vata imbalance (Vata-roga)

Why wind builds up

Gas comes from swallowed air and from gut bacteria fermenting food that wasn't fully digested. Slow digestion, rushed meals and some foods (beans, onions, dairy for some people) add to it, and when it can't move on, the belly bloats and cramps.

Ayurveda attributes this to Vata, the airy dosha, trapped in the gut (Udara-vata) by weak digestion. Warm, pungent, slightly oily herbs such as garlic are the classical counter: they kindle Agni and send Vata on its natural downward path.

Garlic helps in 3 ways

  • Carminative & Digestive (Vatanulomana) — Garlic is warming and digestive in Ayurveda; its sulphur compounds (allicin, ajoene) are antimicrobial against gut bacteria and fungi in experimental studies.
  • Heart-friendly (Hridya) — In meta-analyses of clinical trials, garlic supplements lowered blood pressure in people with hypertension and modestly improved cholesterol.
  • Antioxidant & Immune Support — Garlic's organosulphur compounds are antioxidant, and a meta-analysis also reported effects on immune function.

Key ingredients

  • Lahsun (Garlic) (Allium sativum, bulb) — 500 mg. Garlic's sulphur compounds (alliin, allicin, ajoene) are antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-atherosclerotic in experimental studies; in clinical meta-analyses garlic modestly lowered blood pressure and cholesterol.
